The Octagon
The Octagon is a landmark 49-storey residential tower delivering 370 homes — a building of genuine structural ambition, and a controls package delivered across a tall, tightly programmed residential envelope.
The challenge
Residential towers concentrate plant into limited risers and roof-level spaces, and the controls installation must follow a fast, repetitive floor cycle without ever becoming the critical path.
Our approach
Panels were manufactured in our Birmingham workshop to suit the constrained plant areas, and installation was sequenced to align with the vertical construction cycle so that controls work never held up floor handovers.
The outcome
A fully commissioned Building Management System serving landlord plant across the tower, handed over with documentation and graphics designed for a long-term operational management team.
